Trump says U.S. deal with Iran “is now complete,” authorizes removal of Navy blockade of Strait of Hormuz
The U.S. and Iran have finalized a deal for the “immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts,” according to President Trump and Pakistan’s PM Sharif. A signing ceremony is set for June 19 in Switzerland. The agreement includes ending the U.S. naval blockade and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. However, Israel said it won’t withdraw from Lebanon as part of the deal. Mediators from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey facilitated the talks, with technical discussions planned ahead of the signing.
