Nepal floods latest: Girl, 5, reunited with parents after dramatic rescue from flash flood debris
A five-year-old girl, Manisha, was dramatically rescued in Nepal two days after flash floods trapped her under rubble near Syabrubesi. Rescue workers initially thought they heard a cat, but discovered the girl and spent two hours freeing her. Bad weather delayed evacuation, so she was stabilized at a camp with water and rice water. Flown to Kathmandu’s Teaching Hospital on Saturday, she was reunited with her parents and is now in stable condition, recovering from trauma.
