Google opens the door to AI claws in new Workspace release
Google has released a command-line interface (CLI) that allows developers to officially integrate third-party AI agents, like the popular OpenClaw, into Google Workspace services such as Gmail and Drive. This move, while not an officially supported product, provides a legitimate way for developers to connect these “claws” to Workspace, moving beyond previous workarounds. The release follows the viral success of OpenClaw, whose founder was recently hired by OpenAI.
