How Google’s updated AI Mode will ease your tab clutter when you search
Google Chrome’s AI Mode is getting a major upgrade to reduce tab clutter. When you click a search result link, the website now opens side-by-side with the AI search window, letting you view both simultaneously and ask follow-up questions without switching tabs. This feature is rolling out now in the US. Additionally, you can now search across your recent open tabs by selecting them from a new menu, allowing Google to suggest related content. You’ll need Chrome version 146.0.7680.174 or higher to access these updates.
