Google Photos rolling out floating toolbar to replace bottom bar
Deal Score0
Google Photos is testing a new floating toolbar on iOS, replacing its traditional bottom navigation bar. The pill-shaped bar sits higher on screen, showing persistent actions like “Photos,” “Collections,” and “Create,” with a search button on the right. While Google’s design guidelines suggest this toolbar is for page-specific actions (not primary navigation), the app is using it to replace the bottom bar, similar to a recent change in Google Chat. The update is currently rolling out in version 7.63 for iOS.
